SRS Mission Statement


 

Membership in the Shenandoah Recorder Society is open to players of all ages and levels of ability.  Our mission is to promote the recorder and its music by:

  1.  Raising the level of awareness of the recorder in the community through

        monthly meetings

        hosting acclaimed artists for workshops and concerts

        presenting informal educational concerts in area schools

  2.  Participating in the larger group of recorder players nation wide as an affiliated chapter of American Recorder Society 

  3.  Enabling and supporting recorder playing as a shared social experience

Shenandoah Recorder society meets the third Sunday of every month at
 
  Westminster Presbyterian Church, Fellowship Hall, 190 Rugby Road,Charlottesville,Virginia, 22903

Meeting times are 4-6 pm during the winter months
and 5-7 pm during  Daylight Savings Time.

Meetings are open to members and non-members alike.
